The Word Bride - Married to Christ!
Spiritual Building-Stone No. 195
"
This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the
church" (Ephesians 5:25-32).
Listen what the Prophet of God said about it:
But, you see,
first, decision's made, next engagement, then promise, and then the ceremony.
And that's when the bride takes the bridegroom's name. She is no more then
of her own name; she takes the bridegroom's name.
And then when the church has the ceremony, makes their promises, then she
takes the Bridegroom's Name. Then she's no longer a church of the world; she's
the church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. I don't mean that by Name; I mean
that by birth, by nature, by the power of God. By the revealed truth of God
in the heart she becomes a Christian church, the great, universal apostolic
Christian church. She becomes a part of Christ. When she does that, she...
Christ injects into her His own Spirit, His own life (Rom. 8:9-11; Eph. 5:30-32).
And the Bible said to Adam and Eve there, "You're no longer twain, but
one." And when the woman, church, is married to Christ, they're no longer
two. They are one: Christ in you (Col. 1:27-28). Amen. That's it. His life
has been brought into you. Then you become the bride. [1]
Think of it. We're not only engaged, but we're married. The Church is married to Christ. We are the Wife of Christ, bringing forth children. [2]
Now, remember, you say, "Well, we believe this, but we don't believe that." If you're married to Christ, Christ is the Word of God. In St. John 1:1-3 and 14-18 said, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." And the same was made flesh and dwelled among us. Christ was the living Word. He always was the Word; He's still the Word; He always will be the Word. [3]
Now, now, how
He said It'll appear in the last days is to bring the people back to the Word,
so that the Bride will know Her Husband, know Her Mate, the revealed Word.
That's why this has to happen. It wasn't in the reformers; wasn't in Luther,
Wesley, and the Pentecostals, and them; the Scripture says it wasn't. But
it will come; that is His promise for this age.
We're living in the age that His coming will be in. She must be identified
in Him. Any woman must be identified with her husband, for the two are one.
And Christ's Bride has to be identified with Him, for the two are One, and
He is the Word, not the denomination, the Word. We are to be the children
of the Light, and the Light is the Word which is made Light for this age.
How do we know Light, except It comes from the Word. All right. The Word made
flesh is the Light of the age when you see It; the Bible said so. [4]
Jesus said, "As
it was in the days of Sodom," now watch close, "in the days of Sodom,
so will it be at the coming of the Son of man, when the Son of man is being
revealed" (Luke 17:28-30). Not no more as a church, not no more; the
Bride's called. See? "In that day the Son of man will be revealed."
What? To join the Church to the Head, unite, the marriage of the Bride.
The Bridegroom call will come right through this, when the Son of man will
come down and come in human flesh to unite the two together. The Church has
to be the Word; He is the Word, and the two unites together, and to do that
it'll take the manifestation of the revealing of the Son of man. Not a clergyman.
Do you see what I mean? See, it's Son of man, Jesus Christ, will come down
in human flesh among us, and will make His Word so real that it'll unite the
Church and Him as one, the Bride, and then she'll go Home to the wedding supper.
Amen. She's already united; we go to the wedding supper, not to the marriage.
"Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage
of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready" (Rev. 19:7).
But the rapture is going to the wedding supper. When the Word here unites
with the person, and they two become one, and then what does it do then? It
manifests the Son of man again, not the church theologians, the Son of man.
The Word and the Church becomes one. Whatever the Son of man done, He was
the Word, the Church does the same thing. [5]
Now, if we are
those attributes of God, we cannot live by creeds; we cannot live by denominationalism;
we must live by the Word, because the Bride is a part of the Bridegroom like
any wife is a part of her husband; therefore, we must be that Word Bride.
And what is that Word Bride? The manifestation of this hour, the Bride, not
a creed or denomination, but a living article of God, a living attribute of
God displaying to the world the attributes of God in the formation of the
Bride that's to be expressed in this hour that we're now living.
Martin Luther could not express the attributes that we express, because that
that was in the beginning, the resurrection, like the corn of wheat that went
into the earth. [6]
And His promised Word. You won't have to interpret It, He will interpret It through you, what you are doing, what He promised to do. The church that follows Him will be so much like Him until the people will know (II Cor. 3:1-3). [7]
See it just goes to show: give the best that you have; give your life; give your time; give everything to Christ! And that same Spirit that lived in Christ lives in you (Rom. 8:11), and your influence in your neighborhood and upon the people that you deal with, will be so much like Christ till it'll work the same thing Christ did. [8]
God's Body united as His Bride, being One... Him and Christ together, as the Spirit working in the flesh of the church like It worked in the flesh of Jesus Christ, 'cause It's part of His Body, not twain, but One. They are One. A husband and wife's no longer two, but one. And Christ and His Body is One. And the same Spirit was in Christ is in His Bride, in His Body, that unites them together with all the Word. And God living in there Himself manifested. [9]
Now, she, as a woman, if she is married to Christ the Word, she cannot be married to a church denomination at the same time, for she's bound by it. She cannot live with both husbands at the same time. They're contrary one to the other (Rom. 7:1-4). One is God sent; the other one is manmade. So they're contrary. He said, "Let every man's word be a lie, Mine be the Truth." God said that (Rom. 3:4). [3]
Your old husband must be dead, the world. That's right. Your new Husband is the Word. [10]
There's one Bride, not a dozen denominations, but one Bride; that's the Elected out of the earth, that's been predestinated to this, the ones who can recognize their place in the Kingdom. [11]
And so will the church come through justification, sanctification, baptism of the Holy Ghost (restoration of gifts), right on into the formed image of Christ. Christ is the Bridegroom; the Church is the Bride; and the Bride is a part of the Bridegroom. It'll have to be a Word church, not a denominational church. It'll be the Word church, the Word that's made known by the vindicated Word of God. [12]
Here is what
I am trying to say to you. The law of reproduction is that each specie brings
forth after its own kind, even according to Genesis 1:11, "And God said,
Let the earth bring forth grass, and the herb yielding seed, and the fruit
tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth:
and it was so." Whatever life was in the seed came forth into a plant
and thence into fruit. The very same law applies to the church today. Whatever
seed started the church will come forth and be like the original seed because
it is the same seed. In these last days the true Bride Church (Christ's seed)
will come to the Headstone, and she will be the super church, a super race,
as she nears Him. They in the bride will be so much like Him that they will
even be in His very image. This is in order to be united with Him. They will
be one. They will be the very manifestation of the Word of the living God.
Denominations cannot produce this (wrong seed). They will produce their creeds
and their dogmas, mixed with the Word. This mongrelizing brings forth a hybrid
product.
The first son (Adam) was the spoken seed-Word of God. He was given a bride
to reproduce himself. That is why the bride was given to him, to reproduce
himself; to produce another son of God. But she fell. She fell by hybridization.
She caused him to die.
The second Son (Jesus), also a spoken Seed-Word of God was given a bride like
as was Adam. But before He could marry her, she also had fallen. She, like
Adam's wife, was put to the test whether she would believe the Word of God
and live, or doubt the Word and die. She doubted. She left the Word. She died.
From a little group of the true seed of the Word, God will present Christ
with a beloved Bride. She is a virgin of His Word. She is a virgin because
she knows no man-made creeds or dogmas. By and through the members of the
Bride will be fulfilled all that was promised of God to be made manifest in
the virgin.
The members of the virgin bride will love Him, and they will have His potentials,
for He is their head, and all power belongs to Him. They are subject to Him
as the members of our bodies are subject to our heads. [8]
Didn't Jesus say in the last days (Matthew 24:24) the two would be so close it would deceive the very genes, predestinated, the Elected One, if it was possible? Almost like the real thing, so in the last days... Now, you see, it's wheat time now. It's getting harvest time. This is not Luther's age; this is not Pentecost age; this is the Bride age. As Moses called a nation out of a nation, Christ today is calling a church out of a church, the same thing in type, taking them to the glorious eternal promised land. [13]
Now, notice closely now as we study the Word, the god of this evil age that we're now living (Eph. 2:1-3). It may seem strange, a very strange thing in this age of grace, when God is taking a people for His Name's sake, that is, His Bride, in this evil age that should be called the age of evil (Eph. 6:12-13). The very age that God is calling a people for His Name's sake, by grace, out and is called an evil age. Now, we'll prove it by the Bible that this is the age that He was speaking of. Very strange thing to think that, that in an evil age like this that God then would be calling His Bride. Did you notice? He said a people, not a church. Why? Yet it's called the church, but He would call a people. Now, a church is a gathering of many people of all different makeups. But God is calling one here. He didn't say, "I'll call the Methodist, Baptist, Pentecostal"; He said He'd call a people, what for? His Name, a people (Acts 15:13-14). One from the Methodist, one from the Baptist, one from the Lutheran, one from the Catholic, but He's calling not a church group, but a people for His Name, that receives His Name, engaged in His Name, going to a wedding to be married to Him, to become part of Him by predestination. Just as a man that chooses a right wife in life, was ordained to be part of his body, so that is, the Bride of Christ will be and is now from old ordained by God to be a part of that Body. See? Oh, the Scriptures are so rich, full of honey. [14]
Look, God in
Christ, and Christ in His Body, the Bride. Oh, my. God made manifest in Christ;
Christ made manifest in the Bride. And as God took from the body of Adam the
woman and she fell, then God has took from the Body of Christ, His flesh,
His Body, which is His Word, and is bringing a Bride out that won't fall by
denomination or creed. No, sir. But She's coming back to the pure unadulterated
Word of God being manifested. She's the second Eve, but She's not breaking
and spoiling Her skirts of purity and holiness to Her Husband. She'll stay
with this Word regardless of what anybody says. You can have all the ecumenical
moves you want to and all the affiliations.
He said His Church will be there without spot or a wrinkle (Eph. 5:25-27).
She's going to stand there in the splendor of Him: His Word made manifest.
She'll be a token to the world.
There's the mystery. He before Christ or anything else was ever on earth (You
see His great mystery?) that He chose the Bride, knowing Eve would fall from
disbelieving the Word, knowing that she would fall, but He would choose a
Bride that would not fall, that would hold to that Word regardless of what
all the rest of the world had to say about It; they would hold to that Word.
They are predestinated to stand there. The adoption of children by Jesus Christ
predestinated the Church to that great glorious stand (Eph. 1:3-4).
Now, down through the ages He has been slowly unfolding this mystery. Can
you see now? What happened in the prefigure now? He opened Adam's side and
took part of his flesh, which was Adam, to make Eve (Gen. 2:21-24). The Bride
has to be the Word, for He is the Word. She cannot stand on creeds; She cannot
stand on denomination; She cannot stand on good behavior; She has to stand
alone on the Word, because She's part of It; She was taken from Christ. See?
[15]
No matter how
religious you are, how many churches you belong to, how many books your name's
on, if that genuine Holy Ghost is in you, which is this Word manifested, you'll
see the Message and the hour, because it's the Holy Ghost that does it. But
there has to be something light that off, inspiration strike you. If you pour
water on the ground, on the ground, on the ground, and there's no seed in
there to strike it, how can it ever bring forth anything? There's nothing
there to bring forth. That is, that only the Elected of God will see It.
The Elected of God seen It in Noah's time, Moses' time, Jesus' time, the apostles'
time, Luther's time, Wesley's time, Pentecostal time, because that was the
Seed that was on the earth when this inspiration was poured out. Now, while
the inspiration's poured out to gather the Bride together, it's only those
who are Elected will see It. Jesus said, "I thank Thee, Father, that
Thou hast hid these things from the eyes of the wise and prudent, and revealed
It to babes such as would learn." (Matt. 11:25-27). Now, inspiration
has to strike it.
And we are not living in Luther's age, Wesley age, or the Pentecostal age.
The Pentecostal age was only a restoration of the gifts coming back to the
church, but we're living in the evening time; we're living in a time of the
calling out of the Bride.
And just as it was hard for the Catholics to see Luther, and the Luthers to
see the Wesley, and the Wesleys to see the Pentecostal age, so is it hard
for the Pentecostals to see this age. It's always been that way, because it's
poured out upon an elected seed, and that only. [16]
The Bride knows
where She stands. She's very few. There won't be many saved, just a very,
very, very few. You say, "Well, they said thousands." Yes, but they've
come up through the two thousand years too, on every age where it come out.
Luther's age and that group, and then died off, and they went denominated...
And Wesley, then come Pentecostals, and so forth and all the little out branches
of Baptists, Presbyterians, Methodist, Nazarenes, Pilgrim Holiness and so
forth. See, all those branched off from there like a leaf. But you remember,
when it went down, and the grain begin to ripen, you find that before that
grain can ripen, everything in that stalk has to be dead. Hallelujah. Can't
you see where we're standing? Life is in the grain again. What is it? Just
exactly like the same Grain that went in the ground, the same Jesus in the
Bride form: same power, same church, same thing, same Word.
The same Word sucked up through these and come out here and come to a head
here. And all that Life that come through there, picked up its people, and
now it's forming up into a head for the rapture. When you're separated from
your first union by spiritual death (Rom. 7:1-6). Now, you are borned again
or remarried again to the new spiritual union of, not your natural life of
the things of the world, but of Eternal Life. That Germ that was in you at
the beginning, found you. [3]
Now, it's seed time or Bride time. The shucks are dead. The shucks are dried up. The virgin Word time, not touched... It's a virgin. Remember, a virgin Word time. If you put it in the hands of a denomination, it sure won't be virgin. It'll be man-handled time you get to it. But God's church is not touched by denomination (Hallelujah.); It's a virgin born Word of God made manifest: Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hallelujah. How wonderful. I love it. I believe it. I know that it's the Truth. It'll not be touched. There'll be no denominational man-handling in the virgin birth of the Bride. No, sir. She's commanded by God to come out of such. "Touch not their unclean things..." (Rev. 18:4-5). [17]
There is no minister that can marry a widow [except from a priest]. Did you know that? You want to read that? All right, you get in Leviticus 21:7 and Ezekiel 44:22 and it will show you that the priesthood was not to marry a woman that's been touched by man. This type is of the virgin Bride of Jesus Christ, because they handled the fire of God, the priests did, Aaron's sons. So they could not marry a woman that had been touched by another man. The unchanging God said so Showing in type here, if you want to see it, that the church of the living God is purely, unadulterated the Word of God and not a denomination that's been handled by man. [18]
As Christ was
the first One to raise from all the prophets and so forth (although typed
in many places, He was the Firstfruits of those that slept), in the Bride
coming of Christ, coming out of the church, there'll have to be a Sheaf waved
again in the last days (Lev. 23:9-16). Oh, my. Waving of the sheaf, what was
the sheaf? The first one that come to mature, the first one that proved it
was a wheat that proved it was a sheaf. Hallelujah. I'm sure you see what
I'm talking about. It was waved over the people, and the first time there
will come forth for the Bride age, for a resurrection out of dark denominationalism,
will be a Message that the full maturity of the Word has turned back again
in Its full power and being waved over the people by the same signs and wonders
that He did back there. [19]
