Manifesting
God's Promises - But How ?
Spiritual Building-Stone No. 105
II Corinthians 4:7, "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."
God
in His Word. You believe God keeps His Word? Every word Jesus said was a Seed.
When you get a little orange tree, you put a little seed in the ground, and
it breaks forth into a little tree. And you take that little tree at one inch
tall, and can set it out. Do you know that every orange that you'll ever pick
off of that tree is in it right then? Certainly it is. If it isn't, where
does it come from? Just think; there's hundreds of bushels of oranges in a
little slip about that big of an orange tree, hundreds of bushels of oranges,
bushels of blossoms, bushels and bushels of leaves. If it doesn't, where does
it come from?
Now, that little tree's just like you (Psalm 1:1-3). After you've accept Christ
in the little baby form, then we are planted together in Christ (I Cor. 12:13).
Now, the only thing this little tree does, you just have to pour the wa-ter
to it, and it starts drinking (Isaiah 44:3). And when it drinks its allotted
portion, it's got to drink more than that. It has to drink so much until it
starts pushing out limbs. Then it just keeps on drinking until it pushes out
leaves. Then it just keeps on drinking till it pushes out blossoms. Then it
just keeps on drinking until it pushes out oranges. It's all the time drinking,
drinking, drinking.
And as the tree drinks, it begins to push out its leaves, its buds, pushes
out its fruit each year. The fruit's not in the ground; the fruit is in the
plant. How many understand that, say "amen." So see, the fruit is
in the plant, and every plant has to drink from his fountain. As the rain
comes down, gives that plant life to drink from. And as it drinks, it grows.
And it's growing up until it comes to the full bud, just like the church has,
to bloom out in this age. And as we drink, we grow. But if the plant refuses
to drink, then the plant cannot grow. And if you'll just believe it...
And that's you.
When we are planted together in Christ the only thing we have to do is drink
from His promise, and push out. Everything that you have need of is in you
when you receive Christ, 'cause Christ is in you (Col. 1:26-27). And you just
have to drink from His Word, His Life, and push out. Oh, yes. I believe Him
to be the Water that comes upon us (John 4:14). He's the Life. I believe He's
the inexhaustible Fountain of Life (Psalm 36:10), that we just planted in
Him and push out.
And Christ died for you, and you are transplanted from the world into Christ
(Gal. 1:4; Eph. 2:6). And everything you have need of is right in you by the
baptism of the Holy Ghost (Col. 2:9-10). Isn't that right? Now, the only thing
you have to do is just start drinking from That.
And when we become borned again servants of God, the Seed of God planted in
our heart (I John 3:9), we just keep drinking, drinking, and pushing out.
Everything that you have need of in this earth's journey is in you when you
receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost (II Peter 1:3). The only thing you have
to do is draw and push out. All the healing you ever need, all the rejoicing
you'll ever need, all the power you ever need, everything that you got need
of is in you when you've got Christ in you. But the only thing you have to
do is keep drinking, drinking.
The people don't get thirsty enough. The Bible said, "Blessed are you
when you do hunger and thirst after righteousness" (Matt. 5:6). When
you're thirsty, you can drink. And the more you drink, the more you can spread
out. The more grace you get, the more power you have, the more faith you have
as you keep drinking from Christ Who is the inexhaustible fountain of life,
drinking, the Seed form.
And it'll produce just exactly what the seed is. If it's a promise, God promised
to do it. God's obligated to it, and He will do it.
If you can't
believe... "Well, I believe that Jesus saves me." That's good. Then
how about the Holy Ghost? Believe He'd give you the Holy Ghost; He promised
it to you. About Divine healing, believe it; He promised it to you. Every
redemptive blessing belongs to you; just drink, and drink, and push out. That's
all. Everything you have need of is right in you.
When you receive the Holy Ghost, everything you've got need of between here
and glory is right in you then. It ain't faith that you need. You've got faith,
if you got the Holy Spirit, for He is your faith (II Cor. 4:13). But the thing
you have to know, is know how to use that faith. See what I mean? And if you'll
just understand how to use it, you'll see the exceedingly, abundantly above
all that you could do, or think of the Lord.
I tell you what's
the matter with the Christian tonight: you're not drawing dividends on your
baptism of the Holy Ghost. Draw in and drink, and drink, and drink, and drink
till you push out salvation, push out Divine healing, push out the baptism
of the Holy Ghost. Just drink, drink, drink. And you're planted by the inexhaustible
fountain of Life, which is Jesus Christ. He that's thirsty let him drink,
him that heareth, say, "Come. Whosoever will let him come and drink from
the fountains of the water of Life freely" (Rev. 22:17). Amen. What a
beautiful thought of Him there. God in His Word. God's got to keep His Word.
And all he has to do is drink and drink and push out, and drink till every
fruit of the Spirit, every gift of the Spirit, everything that's in Christ
Jesus that He--belongs to you will be in you for the entire journey.
Don't just stop when you join church and are baptized; just keep drinking
till you have faith for this, and faith for that, and faith for this, and
push out until all the manifestations of the Holy Spirit is living in the
church.
And that's the
way a Christian is. When you're planted in Christ, the only thing you have
to do is go to drinking. It gets it's vitamin out of water. And the Christian
gets his vitamin from the Word. Then you drink, drink more, and spread out,
push out. Push out salvation. Push out through the Holy spirit. Push out,
till that crippled arm comes straight. Just keeps drinking. Drink. Planted
by the inexhaustible Fountain of Life. Jesus Christ is the inexhaustible Fountain
of Life. Drink till you can't drink no more. Drink until you become drunken,
that you forget all your theology and believe God. And drink till your well.
And then just keep on drinking. Amen. God lives.
And if you're planted in Him, the only thing you have to do, is drink of His
goodness and push out whatever you have need of in this earth's journey. It's
all drinking, resting, peace.
It's not what you struggle and strive and pull at, you defeat the very pur-pose
that you're representing when you do that. Christianity is not something,
God's not One you have to beg, and cry, and plead, and fast, and starve, and
everything like that to get to. Certainly not.
God's Word is
a seed. God is in His Word. Look at Him when He makes His Word manifest, His
promises of what He would do. Look at a hundred and twenty people taking God's
Word, went up to the day of Pentecost, and waited until that commission, "Tarry
ye in the city of Jerusalem until you're endued with power from on high"
(Luke 24:49). God's Word sunk into their hearts and they waited there. What
was they doing? Just setting around saying, "Well, I'll see what'll happen."
You can't water it that way. If you say, "Well, yes, I believe in Divine
healing. Oh, sure, it's in the Bible." That's not the way to get healed.
You might have the seed, but you got to water it. Now, the Bible said, "When
they were in the upper room, they were blessing, and thanking, and praising
God" (Luke 24:53). Why? Praising Him because they knew it was coming,
for they had the Seed in their heart, God's promise. They were in the upper
room what? Praising and blessing God. What for? The promise; they knowed it
had to come. There you are; get in action. Go to praising God till the promise
is fulfilled. You've got the promise.
Right if it can ever settle in your heart, you in the wheelchair, you in the
cots, you out there with heart trouble, cancer, you in radio land, in hospitals,
wherever you may be, if you can receive God's Word in your heart and water
it with praises and thanks to God for giving It to you, it'll grow into a
tree of whatever the seed represents. Healing, salvation, whatever it's for,
that tree will blossom.
But you've got to drink. You've got to water it, feed it, and let it grow.
And more you trust in God... If you're in a wheelchair, and in the hospital,
and you're so paralyzed you can't even move but one finger, just keep moving
that one finger to the glory of God. Tomorrow you'll move your hand. The next
day you'll move your arm. And you'll be moving on pretty soon if you'll just
keep watering it, pushing out, growing, getting bigger and bigger. Take God's
Word. It's a Seed. Certainly, It's a Seed.
God gave Abraham a promise as we've been studying. And Abraham let that seed
get into his heart, the promise, and kept watering it with praises and thanksgiving
to God for the child, and waited twenty-five years. But the tree (the promise)
came forth just the same, because he watered it with faith (Rom. 4:19-22).
The Holy Spirit
feeds on the Word. The Bible is God's spiritual diet for His church. And the
Holy Spirit is the One Who brings It to you and places It in the heart; and
with thanksgiving you water It. And every Divine promise will produce just
exactly what God said it would do. It's got to. It's His Word, and It's Life.
"If you could believe that it would happen..." If you can't believe
it, it just won't happen. Now, I can't make you believe; neither can you make
yourself believe. God's got to give it to you. It's a gift of God to believe.
Not your faith, God's faith. Your intellectual faith might believe it fine,
but unless the faith of God is down in your heart... See, your intellectual
faith can accept it; do that and just keep believing it with all your heart
until God does reveal it to you. Just keep believing it until God does reveal
it. But until He reveals it...
All the Word that God has spoken, It must be fulfilled. God cannot say anything
without having it fulfilled. When He has spoken It, it is a finished work.
It's already finished when God speaks It. God never speaks until He's ready
for it to be; and, when He speaks, it's just as well as already happened.
Now, if that wouldn't give us a basis to put our faith on. When God speaks
a Word, it's already finished. And what about His promises that He's given
to us? Everything that He has said, it's already a finished work. So therefore,
when we receive His Word into our heart, it's already done, it's completed.
Notice, Rebekah,
when the servant of Abraham, Eliezer, when he came to get Rebekah, he mounted
her up on a camel, the very camel she watered. And she rode this camel to
meet her unseen bridegroom. The very thing she watered was the thing that
took her to her future home and husband (Gen. 24:10-27,61-67).
And it's the same thing today. The very thing that the Church is watering,
that is the Seed, the Seed of the Word; it's the very Word that becomes alive
and carries us to our unseen Bridegroom.

There's coming one with a Message that's straight on the Bible, and quick
work will circle the earth. The seeds will go in newspapers, reading material,
until every predestinated Seed of God has heard It.
